Continuing education

Continuing education courses are given by agencies who are in the business of making money.Nothing in their topics provide any  insight into the  future technology.Total watse of taxpayers money to benefit a  few  of these private organizations.Should be free , provided  by manufactureres who can expose the design community into the future.Small businesses cannot afford the  extra burden of fees , finding the  time to complete these CEU hours istead of making a living , etc. NCEES should look into this whole concept of CEU operation and try to  come up  w / a common / affordable solution  for all  States  in the USA ,if they  are  serious about enhancing the knowledge of the design community and not  just pass laws because some other State has done it .I don't benefit  but I do take these useless courses just to comply w /  the rules and regulations of some  of the States who have made it mandatory. We are living in old ages. We are falling behind in our thinking. SAD.
