I concur with those opposed to more government oversight and additional regulatory reguirements.   Adding requirements for recurring training does nothing to ensure the overall quality of the profession is maintained.   In my mind the need for this requirement has not been even remotely justified.

Whether it was ethics, regulatory knowledge, or technical competence, a small amount of standardized and recurring training is not going to address deficiencies in any of those.    Only the strong enforcement by the governing body can really address problems that arise based on a lack of needed knowledge.    In other words,  you can't force somebody to be competent or deligent, you can only act when they aren't and they should have been.    This seems like a lazy or band aid approach to an unclear issue.

Please don't implement more useless requirements.
