Need to recognize CEU equivalents

I have been a Professional Engineer licensed in Virginia since 1954.  Although I shall be 91 years old in April, 2008, a number of my old clients still come to me for engineering services and I intend to continue in my limited practice as long as my mental and physical health allow.  My practice is confined to engineering aspects of Federal Communications Commission licensing, the transmission aspects of broadcasting and to the determination of the level of exposure to radio-frequency energy from emitters.  Those calculated levels are compared to appropriate standards promulgated by government and non-government sources.  Required knowledge relates to antenna design characteristics, propagation of RF fields and understanding of applicable standards.  I keep abreast of developments related to that knowledge by reading technical publications, participation as a member of the IEEE committees concerned with standards developments, membership in the IEEE Committee on Man and Radiation, attendance at the annual three-day Symposium of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society, and attendance at the annual three-day Michaelson Conferences (where papers are presented in the field of RF exposure).  For engineers with the extent of my background and continuing activities to remain current, there should be a recognition of an equivalence to the accumulation of Continuing Education Units.
