If done right it is not cumbersome (Govt DAWIA Cont Learning reqt)

As a DoD employee, I am currently required to earn 80 continuous learning points every two years.  At first look it sounds like a lot, but when one examines the definition of those points it is very reasonable.  ( http:// clc.dau.mil/PDF/CL_Policy.pdf ) This cople of page document with point guidelines and  4 broad areas: Training, Professional, Educational, and Experienitial broadening activiities. It is actually quite realistic and develops a good workforce.  I am in favor of Continuous Learning requirements for PE's, if the requirements are similar to the DoD policy.
