The REACH CTHs are being categorized by DBHDS as a CSU and therefore they are required to comply with DMAS RCSU staffing plans. Because these homes are only 6 person programs, it is not cost efficient to have nursing staff on site 24/7. Having nursing staff on-call 24/7 for these small homes would be a better option. We are asking that the requirement for on site 24/7 nursing be removed from the REACH 6 bed crisis therapeutic homes.
