Discussions about sexuality and sexual health belong primarily in the home where parents and guardians have control over the content.  Websites like the Advocates for Youth website present unbalanced and offensive discussions on these topics and should not be endorsed by any government agency.  Please do not include this web site or any like it in the proposed Virginia Department of Health Virginia School Health Guidelines for public schools. This offensive website – listed in the document’s “Sexual Health” resources section – promotes abortion, a “Free the Pill” campaign, and numerous other items that so many parents, including me, recognize as extremely harmful to children’s health and well-being. This site is listed as a “resource” in the proposed guidelines, when in reality it promotes the exact opposite of what our youth should be taught. Please remove this highly objectionable, completely unacceptable site from the proposed school health guidelines document.
