Continuing Education versus B+30

It is readily apparent that the first level of education should be that engineers monitor more closely those issues affecting their profession since the regulation is now a law and was so passed by the General Assembly two years ago.  There is now no such thing as a "no vote" at this time.

Your proposed regulations are reasonable and present no hardship, particularly to those of us already carrying multiple state registrations.  Seminars, technical meetings, contract management courses, online programs...all are available to facilitate the CEU requirements.  And very little, if anything, need occur with the pure "academic world".

But, I am amazed that the "academics" in ASCE that have lobbied long & hard for the B+30 program, making professional registration more difficult to attain, seem to have a problem here with maintaining their credentials and practice skills after the fact.  If there is a problem on the horizon for the registered profession and one that will cost substantially, it is Bachelors+30 concept.
