Continuing Education requirement

I have been a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Virginia for almost 10 years and have gained all of my useful experience in professional work or actual conferences and/or seminars related to my work.  If you require that we take these courses then most likely people will be forced to take classes that are convienent for their schedule and not at all related to work requirements.  You may create yet another revenue source for the State at a cost of lost time for real professionals whose time is more valuable then spending in useless courses that provide no more safety or benefit to the public.
