Continuing Education Requirement

Please vote "NO" to CE Mandate.

I am a Government employee and almost about to retire. It was never a requirement for fulfilling my responsibilities, however, I passed the P.E. test some twenty years ago and always felt the pride in writing P.E. against my name, just like a Physician, who writes MD against his/her name. Now this mandate is trying to snatch away this privilege from me, as I have no intention to comply with this CE requirement.

I concur with most comments that every  professional tries to stay abreast of new technology by taking training courses and attending seminars, above all, amassing experience working as a professional. It is rightly said that CE should be individuals responsibility.

It will be unnecessary burden, waste of money and time for the majority.

Thanks for listening to me.
