CE is a solution looking for a problem.

I disagree with the proposed legislation for the following reasons:

1. Legislation should address a problem for fundamental public need. What problem is solved by this extra requirement? While I strongly advocate continuing education, it doesn't need additional regulation. The assembly should take this opportunity to undo the previous bill.

2. Staff reports indicate that there will be no cost to public or increase of fees I don't believe that. You can't add requirements and paperwork without incurring some type of cost. My guess is increase renewal fees for additional staff to deal with CE questions and paperwork.
