CE credits

My main concer nis what will constitute a Cont. Ed credit?  I find it hard to find something besides an AIA credit.  I would rather not go as a Mech Engr to architectural classes to get my credit.  I have always wanted to learn but find the bookkeeping a hassle.  I think this is a waste of VA's state dollars to check if people have proper education.  I believe it is important to keep continuing education but a responsible engineer will be getting this education anyways.  the person with little time or lack of caring will find the education with least effort to get those credits.
