Continuing Education Requirements for PE's

Though I am not an authority on this issue, I have lived and worked in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina as a Professional Engineer.   As other commentors have expressed, I also have reservations about the real benefit of continuing education for a professional engineer.

Having said that, I have a concern that needs to be address by the Board; if Virginia does not implement continuing education requirements for professional engineers, will not the reciprocity process between Virginia and other states that have continuing education requirements for professional engineers be in jeopardy?
