Yes I see the same comments now that were floating around when Florida started requiring CEU credits (20 over a two year span) about 15 years ago.  We in Florida have lots of unique situations related to ADA, hurricanes, missle impacts and moisture intrusion plus me dealing with hospitals has its own share of situations.

We also are required to take code core hours every so often which keeps us abreast of code changes.  I myself have found it useful plus it is a methods of weeding out bad architects and engineers (yes my dear they do exist nowadays) plus here in Florida numerous people who practice architecture without a license.

You can pay up the wazoo for these credits or else take Ron Blank courses or as we do here have manufactures buy lunch for us and sit for 1 hour and listen to what they have to say.  This costs us nothing.

I see some heady arrogance about "I know what I am doing".  The God's honet truth is no you don't.  Virginai architecture is rather staid and probaly full of products that are used incorrectly.  Being licensed in Virgina and actually have done work there, I was surpried at how many architects did not know how big a concrete block was.

My question is can we use the CEU credits I have to get in Florida for Virginia's CEU credits?
