Mandatory Continuing Education not needed

The trend I have seen in engineering is that more and more work is required with less and less time and resources to get it done. I need to decide for myself how the time needs to be used. There is continuing education happening anyway trying to keep up with the constant updating of codes and standards. I am registered in a state that requires certification and I get junk mail all the time about PE classes that are of no value to me. I don't need more junk mail.
