Additional Burdens For An Already Overburdened Engineer

I am licensed in four states.  My first license was from West Virginia which has a similiar program.  Ohio is the second state which I now have to report professional development hours.  So, I know, firsthand, the burden to maintain these development hours.

I have had several jobs over my 27 year career.  Some companies supported education and training and some did not.  The ones that didn't support training created huge burdens on me because I would have to take vacation time off to attend training and pay expenses out of my own pocket.

Continuing education is great.  The burden of being force to do so or lose a hard earned license is bad law.
