CE Done Right

I am licensed and live in another state and I am also registered in VA.. I already meet CE requirements in other states. Most all states require 15 credit hours. May I suggest the following:

  1. If VA wants CE to work for their licensed professionals that are or may in the future be registered in multiple states, then consider adopting 15 hours instead of 16 hours to lessen the burden.
  2. Make CE credits, accepted by other states, accepted by VA. The cost of traveling to multiple states to meet requirements will be cost prohibitive.
  3. Most of all, VA must adopt a system of pre-approval for courses. To echo others who have commented, it is a complete waste of money and time to attend and pay for something that may not be acceptable. I don't mind attending training, however it has to have purpose and value both personally and professionally or it is just a waste of my time.
