Continuing Education for Engineers

Having continuing education requirements in North Carolina since 1995 has been good for the industry, the profession and the public's safety. I have taken numerous courses, most Company sponsored with the balance being at the local college or through Societies such as AWS and ASME. Some colleagues have not performed and have let their Licenses lapse or go inactive. That is their choice and what separates those who want to keep current with industry and those who do not. The State of Ohio has similar requirements and accepts what continuing education I perform for North Carolina. I trust that Virginia will have a similar ruling.
