Continuing Education - A worthwhile tool

CE is a worthwhile tool, Maryland Surveyors have had this requirement for years and it has been very beneficial to many. Why is it that so many feel they don't need CE, is it that they feel they've learned all that there is too learn?, a waste of time?, money? In my opinion  it's nothing more than arrogance. There are new technologies emerging every day, new, better ways of doing things, new products and proceedures. We owe it to our clients, the public, our profession to be knowledgable, to keep up with the latest technology, to be able to provide the very best service. Give CE a chance, you will see the benefits in the long run. I do think the courses need to be approved in advance, the burden should be on the CE provider to make sure the content is related to our field of practice, have clear purpose, etc.
