I am a 32 hour Medication Aide Trainer and would like to suggest the 32 hour class have a formal 4 hour renewal training  and update.   Currently, renewal training is completed by anyone in the organization and not necessarily by nursing. Department of Social Services is now in charge of the training curriculum and they renewal training has not changed since their manual was approved in 1998.

This is in reference to the Board of Nursing update on Medication Administration by unlicensed staff due to be completed 1/30/2025
