MOA with District of Columbia and Virginia

On July 11, 2019 during the July quarterly board meeting, the board voted 6 - 3 in favor of continuing the current Reciprocal Agreement with the DC Board of Funeral Directors.   I would like to suggest that additional language be considered to address those individuals that were not required to take the national examination to become licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the pass.  Add the following wording to Paragraph A, #1 and Paragraph B, #1: after examining Board; "if required/mandatory at time of initial licensing"

UNFAIR PROPOSAL

There are a few of us in the commonwealth, especially those in the first class at John Tyler who were not allowed to take the National exam. The exam was not required to receive a license In VA . We were instructed not to take the exam because it would would not be considered in our licensure in VA  I have been waiting for 50 years for this agreement to be worked out. I have encouraged DC Board members to come to an agreement and let them know that some of us  did not take the national exam. I practice in Northern VA and conduct  services in DC and MD. I have never been brought before any Board  yet I have been denied a full license because of something I had no control over this . Please work  out an agreement so that those few of us can get a full DC license. Nelson E Greene.  ] 7035490089text and enter your comments here. You are limited to approximately 3000 words.
