The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is announcing that the website is back online. Due to the extended period of time that notices and documents for review were not available through the website, comment periods are being extended for matters subject to a public comment opportunity during the down time.
The comment period extension applies to comment periods open between May 22 and June 1, including the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) and Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP), draft permit actions, proposed consent special orders, draft total maximum daily loads, etc.
For comment periods with close dates during the down time, the original and new closing dates are as follows:
May 22 becomes June 5
May 23 becomes June 6
May 24 becomes June 7
May 25 becomes June 8
May 29 becomes June 11
May 30 becomes June 15 (includes MVP and ACP)
May 31 becomes June 15
June 1 becomes June 15
For those comment periods that were open during the down time but not scheduled to close until after June 1, the comment period will be extended 15 days unless an extension was previously announced.
Persons with questions on the closing date of a particular matter should contact the staff person listed in the original notice.
