NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AP25156674; Stafford County Wetlands Board Application, Agenda Number WB25-01; Tamana Revetment; Tax Map Parcel No. 41A-1-10; Aquia Election District

The Stafford County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 20, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road. The hearing will consider the request of Mr. Feroz Tamana for a Stafford County Wetlands Board Permit on Tax Map Parcel No. 41A-1-10. The request is to permit the placement of a 150 linear foot riprap revetment to stabilize a portion of Aquia Creek shoreline within the parcel located at 306 Thorny Point Road. The installation of the riprap revetment will result in apermanent loss of 385 sq. ft. of non-vegetated, tidal wetlands. The adjacent Chesapeake Bay Resource Protection Area buffer will also be revegetated in its entirety according to regulations.

All interested parties are invited to appear at the above designated time and place and state their views. Persons requiring special accommodations to facilitate participation in the above matter are encouraged to contact the Department of Development Services at least five days prior to the meeting.

The public hearing may be continued or adjourned. A copy of the application and other related materials are on file in the Department of Development Services located at 2128 Richmond Highway, Suite 201, Stafford, Virginia 22554, and may be examined Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30 p.m. a.m.
