LANCASTER COUNTY WETLANDS BOARD March 13, 2025

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – Pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 of the Code of Virginia, notice is hereby given to all interested parties that the Lancaster County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing for the following Wetlands Board actions:

1. John Paxton, c/o SalTerra Solutions, LLC, PO Box 1744, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to install 225 linear feet of rip rap revetment and install 46 linear feet of stone sill with 60 cu. yds of sand nourishment and 300 sq ft of wetlands vegetation plantings along the eroded shoreline, of Meyer Creek. Located off VSH 604 (Ottoman Ferry Rd) on Oak Hill Rd. Tax Map #26-16A. VMRC #25-0191.
2. Kendall Stoneham, c/o SalTerra Solutions, LLC, PO Box 1744, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to install 50 linear feet of rip rap revetment against a failing bulkhead and the eroded bank of the Rappahannock River. Located off VSH 711 (Old Airport Rd) on Westwood Rd. Tax Map #13-72. VMRC #25-0243.
3. Lyle Beckwith, c/o Bryan McDearmon, Mac Bros, LLC, 388 Scoggins Creek Trail, Hartfield, VA 23071; requests permission to install 33 linear feet of rip rap revetment along the eroded shoreline, of Deep Creek. Located off Deep Creek Rd which is off VSH 354 (River Rd) on Meadow Book Ln. Tax Map #13-35H. VMRC #25-0220.
4. David and Julie Lundberg, c/o Bayshore Design, LLC, 8518 Cople Highway, Hague, VA 22469; requests permission to construct a 70 ft armor stone spur adjacent to eroding sandbar along the shoreline of Little Bay and install 70 linear ft of armor stone sill with 15 cu. yds of sand nourishment and 375 square feet of vegetative plantings adjacent to eroding bank and marsh along the shoreline of Fleets Bay. Located off Chesapeake Trail which is off VSH 645 (Dungeons Thicket Rd) on Seahaven Dr. Tax Map #35-122A. VMRC #25-0260.
5. Ronald Cox, c/o Bryan McDearmon, Mac Bros, LLC, 388 Scoggins Creek Trail, Hartfield, VA 23071; requests permission to replace 4 existing jetties, each measuring 48 linear feet for a total of 192 ft of armor stone on the Rappahannock River. Located off VSH 695 (Windmill Point Rd) on Mosquito Point Rd. Tax Map #s 35-1-2 & 35-1-3. VMRC #25-0269.
6. Yankee Point Marina, LLC, c/o Bryan McDearmon, Mac Bros, LLC, 388 Scoggins Creek Trail, Hartfield, VA 23071; requests permission to replace existing boat ramp with a 16 ft x 85 ft concrete ramp along with the installation of one dry hydrant along the shoreline of the Corrotoman River. Located off VSH 604 (Ottoman Ferry Rd) on Oak Hill Rd. Tax Map #26-18. VMRC #24-2369.

The public hearing will convene at 9:30 a.m. on March 13, 2025 in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room. Interested members of the public will be able to participate in the meeting from their computer, tablet, smartphone, regular phone or in person. The weblink, phone number and access code will be published on the County website, www.lancova.com at least three days prior to the meeting as required.
Wetlands Board members will inspect sites on March 11, 2025 sometime between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Information on the above actions is on file in the Building/Land Use Office at the County Administration Office.
