The Northampton County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Chambers located at 16404 Courthouse Road in Eastville, VA, for the purpose of considering the following wetlands/coastal primary sand dunes matter and to conduct regular business. A site visit to the property will be conducted on the same date, prior to commencement of the Wetlands Board meeting.

 

VMRC 2023-2054: Wilsonia Property Owners Association is applying for a permit to replace the existing docks in the same footprint, construct a 10 ft x 20 ft floating dock and to replace an existing boat ramp in the same footprint with a 7-foot extension into the creek. The portion of the project within the Wetlands Board’s jurisdiction is the part of the boat ramp and dock in either vegetated or non-vegetated wetlands. The property is located at Wilsonia Harbor Way, Machipongo, VA, and is further described as Tax Map 38C1-1A, along the shoreline of Hungars Creek.

 

Anyone interested in the above matter should attend the scheduled public hearing. The application may be viewed in the Planning, Permitting, and Enforcement Office located at 16404 Courthouse Road in Eastville, VA.
