I. Chapter 4VAC20-1410-10 et seq., "Utility Line Encroachments Beneath or Over State-Owned Subaqueous Beds”
The Commission proposes to adopt Chapter 4VAC20-1410-10 et seq., “Utility Line Encroachments Beneath or Over State-Owned Subaqueous Beds” to promulgate a general permit for utility line crossings of State-owned subaqueous bottom.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide a general permit for certain activities beneath or over State-owned subaqueous beds whereby owners of private or commercial properties, public utility companies and political subdivisions, and their official designees, are granted authority for the installation of aerial and directionally drilled utility lines that do not involve instream work, in an expedited manner.
