CEP Solar, LLC has provided the Department of Environmental Quality an updated notice of intent (NOI) to submit the necessary documents for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) located in Prince Edward County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. The project name is Prince Edward Solar Farm; the DEQ project number is RE0000246.

The project will be located at 1434 Rice Creek Road, Meherrin, VA, approximately six miles south of Farmville, east of Farmville Road/Route 15, and bisected by Rice Creek Road/Route 647. The project will be centered at latitude 37.1833320, Latitude: -78.3991679. The proposed maximum generating capacity is 25 megawatts alternating current (MWAC) and includes approximately 84,375 single axis tracking photovoltaic modules with a maximum height of 18 feet. The project developer is CEP Solar.
