Shifting Sands Solar Project Notice of Intent - Small Renewable Energy Project (Solar) - RE0000234

Shifting Sands Solar, LLC. has provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent to submit the necessary documents for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) in Henry County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. Shifting Sands Solar Project will be located in Ridgeway, VA. Latitude and longitude coordinates are as follows: 36.617650, -79.850742. The proposed project is an approximately 18.8 megawatt (“MW”)  alternative current (“AC”) photovoltaic (“PV”) ground-mounted solar facility. The footprint area of the Project is approximately 260 acres. The solar array will use approximately 51,000 PV solar panels.
