Holocene Finance, LLC,  has provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent to submit the necessary documents for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) into Fauquier County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. Maples Solar will be located near the intersection of Sowego Rd. and Elk Run Rd. Latitude and longitude coordinates are as follows: 38.603548, -77.585603. The project is located on approximately 200 acres and will have an approximate capacity of 15 MW AC. The array will utilize approximately 35,500 solar modules mounted to a single axis tracking system and will interconnect to the local distribution network.
