Foxglove Solar, LLC, has provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent to submit the necessary documentation for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) in Frederick County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. The proposed project is approximately 668 acres located south of Marlboro Road, north of Vaucluse Road, and bisected by Hites View Road, and is generally west of Stephens City in Frederick County. The project will have a maximum generating capacity of 75 megawatts alternating current (AC) and consist of approximately 206,550 photovoltaic panels. The project will connect to the grid through transmission lines that bisect the property.
