Carvers Creek Solar (Carvers Creek), an affiliate of Apex Clean Energy Holdings, LLC, has provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent to submit the necessary documentation for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) in Gloucester County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. Carvers Creek is proposed as an approximately 150 MWac solar photovoltaic generating facility, consisting of approximately 550,000 solar panels. The project is located on approximately 1,800 acres of privately-owned land in northwestern Gloucester County, adjacent to Glenns Rd and George Washington Memorial Hwy. Approximate coordinates are 37°32'41.3"N, 76°36'34.7"W.
