| Purpose of the meeting The Virginia Board of Education announces its upcoming meetings as shown below. All meetings will be held in the East Reading Room of the Patrick Henry Building, located at 1111 East Broad Street, unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public. Pursuant to Executive Order 79, fully-vaccinated individuals do not have to wear a mask. Anyone who is unvaccinated or not fully-vaccinated is strongly encouraged to wear a mask. Please note the security measures* for the Patrick Henry Building. The Board of Education will convene in a business session, beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. The purpose of convening this meeting is for the Board to go into executive session under Virginia Code ยง2.2-3711(A)(40). Public comment will not be accepted at this time. *Security Protocols for the Patrick Henry Building All visitors to the Patrick Henry Building must show Photo ID and sign in at the security desk on the first floor. When you arrive, please pass through the Capitol Police security screening, sign-in at the security desk and let them know you are attending the Board of Education meeting. Please allow time for these security protocols. Security desk hours are from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. We appreciate your patience and commitment to ensuring the safety of all employees and guests.
