| Purpose of the meeting Pursuant to Chapter 1283 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly, the Advisory Board on Teacher Education and Licensure (ABTEL) will convene electronically on November 16, 2020, at 9 a.m.. The purpose of this meeting is to transact the business statutorily required or necessary to continue the operations of the Advisory Board. Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus health emergency, the meeting will proceed under modified procedures. The meeting is open to the public for viewing. The meeting will be livestreamed on the VDOE YouTube Channel. Oral public comment will not be accepted; however, written public comment is always accepted. Written public comment received by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13. Please submit comments by email (with the subject line, ABTEL Comment) to Patty.Pitts@doe.virginia.gov.
