| Purpose of the meeting Pursuant to Chapter 1283 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly, the Virginia Board of Education will convene electronically on Wednesday, July 22 and Thursday, July 23. The purpose of these meetings is to transact the business statutorily required or necessary to continue the operations of the Board. Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus health emergency, the meetings will proceed under modified procedures. All meetings are open to the public for viewing. All meetings will be livestreamed on the VDOE YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrbxl9wHScrWKWIEoUWNIfQ/videos. You may also view the livestream from the Board’s public meeting webpage. The Board of Education will convene in a business session, beginning at 10 a.m. The purpose of convening this meeting is for the Board to go into executive session under Virginia Code §2.2-3711(A)(40). Public comment will not be accepted during this time. | |
