| Purpose of the meeting Pursuant to § 2.2-3708.2 of the Code of Virginia, the Virginia Board of Education will convene electronically on Thursday, April 2 at 1 p.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to take action on items related to the governor’s declared state of emergency and items that if not acted upon could result in irrevocable public harm. The meeting is open to the public for listening and viewing. Oral public comment will not be accepted, however, written public comment is always accepted on the Board’s email account at BOE@doe.virginia.gov. Meeting materials will be available on Monday, March 30 at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/boe/meetings/index.shtml.
