| Purpose of the meeting The purpose of the public hearing is to accept testimony concerning the proposed revision to the SIP concerning a proposed Commonwealth of Virginia § 111(d)/129 Plan for general provisions. The proposed revision consists of (i) a demonstration of the Department's legal ability to implement the overall plan, including the Air Pollution Control Law of Virginia, and (ii) general provisions of the Regulations for the Control and Abatement of Air Pollution that have general applicability to source category § 111(d)/129 regulations. The Department is seeking comment on the overall plan, and on the issue of whether any regulations included in the plan should be submitted to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as part of the plan. | |
