| Purpose of the meeting The Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) is evaluating an unsolicited proposal under the Public Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act (PPEA, Code of Virginia ยง56-575) to build and operated a tree canopy course at Raymond R. (Andy) Guest Shenandoah River State Park in Warren County, Virginia. A public input meeting will be held to present an amendment to the current master plan for Shenandoah River State Park to incorporate the development of a tree canopy course in the park. The current master plan does not provide for such a development. During the meeting, the agency and proposing private entity will explain the proposed project and invite public questions and comments. Those unable to attend the meeting are encouraged to send comments to: Chuck Wyatt; Department of Conservation and Recreation; 203 Governor Street; Richmond, VA 23219. Comments will be received for a period of forty-five (45) days following the above-mentioned meeting. | |
