| Purpose of the meeting NOTICE: The Pesticide Control Board’s (PCB) public hearing on the proposed regulations to exempt gypsy moth and cotton boll weevil surveyors from pesticide applicator certification has been cancelled. During the PCB’s regular quarterly meeting scheduled for July 21, 2011, the board will consider whether to grant or deny the petition for rulemaking to exempt the aforementioned groups. Should the board grant the petition (s) for rulemaking, it is expected that a public hearing on the proposed regulations will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled board meeting on October 20, 2011. The public is invited to comment on this or any other pesticide related issue during the public comment period at the July 21, 2011 meeting. The Board will conduct its normal quarterly meeting; however, portions of the meeting may be held in closed session, pursuant to §2.2-3711 of the Code of Virginia. The board will entertain public comment at the beginning of the meeting on all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate in the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice least five (5) days before the meeting date, so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation. | |
