| Purpose of the meeting Pursuant to House Joint Resolution 90 (2010), the Virginia Board of Health Professions is conducting a study into the advisability of permitting the use of medication aides in nursing homes. As part of this review, a roundtable discussion with invited participants representing nursing home, pharmacy, nursing professional and other stakeholders is being held on September 17, 2010 beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Board Room #2 at the Department of Health Professions. The roundtable provides an opportunity for in-depth dialog with invited representatives from Virginia’s pharmacy, nursing, nursing home, consumer and other relevant stakeholder groups to address questions that the Regulatory Research Committee members have of direct relevance to Virginia’s experiences with the issues outlined in the study report and received public comment. The roundtable meeting is open to the public; however, public comment will not be received during this meeting. | |
