Purpose of the meeting
The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will hold its regular meeting with its executive staff. At this meeting, it will also consider fast-track action on amendments to Chapter 3 VAC 5-70, Other Provisions, clarifying that licensee records must be available for inspection in hard copy or for viewing on a screen between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., or made available within 24 hours after a request to inspect made at other times, as well as new sections in this chapter (1) allowing for a waiver of penalty for certain first-time violations, and (2) setting forth the approval process and records and reports required of approved fulfillment warehouses and marketing portals. The Board will also consider a fast-track action amending Chapter 3 VAC 5-50, Retail Operations, to add a new section requiring off-premises licensees to place premixed alcoholic energy drinks in the same location as wine and beer are offered for sale.
