|This document provides information about the participation of English Learners (EL) in the Virginia Assessment Program and includes the following: (1) the definition of an EL; (2) the procedures for determining the EL’s participation in the Virginia Assessment Program, including how the student will be assessed in each content area; (3) the procedures for providing testing accommodations; and (4) the guidelines for assessing ELs with disabilities.
