|Studies have shown that when teachers and administrators model core values and students learn skills to resolve conflict peacefully, practice pro-social behaviors, and engage in service to the community, schools have a lower incidence of violence. This document provides a list of criteria intended to be used by local school divisions in developing character education programs.
