RE: 18 VAC30-21-100 Continuing education requirements for renewal of an active license

Re:  18 VAC30-21-100 Continuing education requirements for renewal of an active license

1.  I highly recommend that Up to 10 contact hours of continuing education in excess of the number required for renewal may be transferred or credited to the next renewal year.” NOT  be eliminated from this document.  These 10 CEU hours that  may be accumulated ahead of time in anticipation of planned medical procedures, childbirth, etc. for the upcoming renewal year are  particularly helpful to individuals in the audiology profession.

2.  If it is deemed advisable  to keep the deletion of the above-mentioned sentence, then an effective date should be set at 6/30/2024 to allow those audiologists who have already completed over 10   CEU hours since July 1, 2022 to be able to carry these CEU of up to 10 CEUS forward into the next cycle:  July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
