More work is necessary on Stormwater Regulations

The proposed stormwater regulations will lead to further sprawl and increased economic difficulties for Virginia.  The regulations will cause development to require more space to manage stormwater which will lead to the development of more land than necessary for projects.  I fear that many of our localities will be faced with the inability to build public facilities due to the increased costs associated with not only construction but the future maintenance of such facilities. I would call for a study of our current regulations and specifically the enforcement of those regulations. I believe better enforcement of the current regulations will lead to a cleaner Bay than adding additional regulations that are impossible to financially meet and difficult to enforce. I urge you to recommend to the Governor further study of these regulations to examine the economic impact that these regulations will have on Virginia.
