Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Absolutely NOT. NO

Under no circumstance will my child be in a school in which these policies are held. This is beyond disgusting that this would even be taken into consideration. The thought that a human has more rights than Gods name in a school system is horrifying Children’s minds at this age are so incredibly vulnerable and not even fully developed. Why create unnecessary confusion. if a child is confused  let them deal with it in the privacy of their own home just like those that pray have to. If God is not to be spoken of in schools why would we put the responsibility of taking care of another child’s confusion on a child that has no idea its mind blowing. I am a 25 year old mom to 2 toddlers and a baby and I am sickened. So no. I do not want these polices to be put into place. Absolutely not. I will do everything in my power to prevent this from happening.
