Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

No school should surpass parental discretion and the right to raise their children as they see fit in morals and Faith. The school is acting like a parent. Many Christians do not agree with the agenda proposed. It is their right under the constitution to practice their faith and for their children in said Faith.

furthermore, we as Americans have the right to disagree with the lgbt movement, which is not done out of hate but in love and Faith for neighbors, God, family and country.  This country was meant to be God fearing, it should remain so. Such actions are sadly out of line with Godly ideals and the reason this country was founded. Lgbt stuff is not for schools...it’s very controversial and should not be brought into schools. Again, what right does a school have to impose their morals on the children and families it serves, that sounds more like a dictatorship. I would never advocate being mean or ill treating any lgbt person, but can not support this action. I pray that it is not put into practice. Certainly it will not please God and He sees all...
