Medical experts like the American Medical Association and American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists oppose TRAP because they hurt women by blocking access to safe medical care. TRAP laws have devastated access to safe, legal abortion and hurt access in other states that have imposed them. All women deserve the dignity and the autonomy to make safe health decisions over their own bodies. There is no medical basis for these TRAP laws.
