The irresponsible, dangerous ban on weapons creatin targets of opportunity for violence

The proposed banning of weapons in state buildings is an illogical, dangerous, and ultimately useless measure which in no way prevents criminals from committing violent crime. Speaking as someone who has worked in every major area of public safety (fire/rescue, law enforcement, and corrections), I cannot recall a time in which a law abiding citizen used a legally concealed weapon for ANY criminal act of violence. The proposed ban would only make victims of all persons employed by, or otherwise occupying, state facilities by making each facility a target of opportunity for those wishing to do harm unto others. This subjects good people to the possibilty of legal repercussions which would likely inhibit their ability to intervene in the event such a violent incident shold occur. For these (and so many more) reasons, this unconstitutional order from Gov. Terry McAuliffe must not continue, must not be made permanent, and I hereby petition that the town hall period for citizens' comments be extended.
