Misguided intentions to cater to your agenda is not the way to garner support. You are addressing an issue that is more of a non-issue. Banking finds in government buildings will not eliminate prevent or eliminate the acts of evil people. You're only preventing law abiding, responsible gun owners from protecting themselves and those around them in the event something should happen. Look at what the real issue is and not what will get you votes.
