This administrative Regulation is against public safety and is totally useless.  All but two of the public massacres since 1950 had been committed by criminals and terrorists in “gun-free zones,” which is exactly what this regulation creates.  Bans in rest stops would endanger the lives of nterstate travelers and result in additional cost of providing additional security at these state facilities.  The Governor dors npt have any authority to enact any such restrictions on the legal carrying of firearms in Virgnia.
