emergencyā€¯ state-agency gun ban

To Whom feels the need to infringe on rights of law abiding citizens of Virginia.

I oppose the ban for two reasons, it's without basis in Virginia law and it is being used by the Governor to secure favor in a bid for the upcoming election cycle for President/Vice President.  The purpose of this edict doesn't fix a problem of law abiding citizens shooting up state officials in public buildings as there isn't a problem currently.  The notion that this action will have any lasting improvement to the security of state officials is laughable.  I visited my representatives in the House and Senate with a side arm hanging from my belt.  Sadly, the Governor is just getting his ticket punched so as to have a viable resume for higher office.  The fact that changing this law will only impact Virignians after the Governor is gone and knowing it will have the opposite affect than advertised is cowardly at best and treasonous at worst.
